Job Description and Duties

This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in person at their designated approved HQ location at least two (2) days per week and as needed/required. Beginning July 1, 2025, all DGS employees will be required to work in office at their assigned HQ location four (4) days per week and as needed/required in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25.   The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment .

Under direction of the Information Technology (IT) Supervisor II, the IT Specialist I in the Department of General Services, Enterprise Technology Solutions within the Business Technology Management and IT Project Management domains, independently acts as a lead IT business analyst for complex IT system problems, independently leads complex system studies, elicits requirements, analyzes issues and provides IT solution recommendations.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code.  The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests.  The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for a visa sponsorship or a training plan, now or in the future.

Special Requirements
