Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our team and help turn business vision into successful, high-impact systems. In this role, you'll drive the development, launch, and ongoing support of new solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, end users, and vendors to define business processes, gather and analyze requirements, and ensure seamless implementation.

Please note: This is a long-term W2 contract position. Unfortunately, we are unable to work with third parties or provide visa sponsorship.

What You'll Do

Lead software development projects as a Product Manager, overseeing custom-built solutions from concept to launch.
Collaborate with non-technical business stakeholders to define features, set priorities, and manage product roadmaps.
Gather and document detailed business requirements, including functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and data integration points.
Analyze system needs based on policy and contractual requirements, identifying areas for improvement and automation.
Supervise products through all phases—analysis, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
Manage steering committees and coordinate cross-functional teams to align with the product vision.
Facilitate business design sessions, propose alternative solutions, and assess potential risks.
Develop and implement streamlined processes to improve operational efficiency.
Create process models, diagrams, and technical documentation to guide stakeholders and development teams.
Translate business requirements into user stories, manage product backlogs, and oversee prioritization.
Define and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Prepare technical documentation, progress reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Occasionally represent the organization at regional and international technology forums and community events.

What You Bring

Expertise in Agile software development, with a deep understanding of the entire software lifecycle—from design and requirement gathering to deployment, testing, change management, and production support.
Ability to manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
Proven track record of developing and deploying custom software solutions.
Strong skills in prioritization, project management, and conflict resolution.
Technical proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Java).
Excellent written communication skills, especially in preparing technical documentation.
Strong facilitation skills for leading meetings, workshops, and discussions.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities to assess complex issues and drive solutions.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with executives, staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
Effective presentation skills for diverse audiences across the organization.
Ideally, experience with Domain Name System (DNS), DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC), Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP), WHOIS, or Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP).
Bonus: Experience as a Salesforce Developer or knowledge of Appian.

Education & Experience

12+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, OR
8+ years of experience with a master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience in product management within a relevant industry.
Strong background in requirement gathering, user story writing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Hands-on experience with business process design, workshops, data modeling, and reengineering.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 75,000.00 202,000.00 Per Year
