Traveling Sales Associate

Alan's Lids is looking for sales associates to join our Roadshow/Travel team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, reliable, and open to traveling across the US and more.

We are a western hat store based out of Crowley, TX. Along with our brick-and-mortar store in Crowley, we have 2 mobile units that we are looking to keep on the road traveling to rodeos and events planned throughout the year across the United States and possibly into Canada. We are looking for a sales associate to join our travel team! We offer paid-for travel and lodging to the planned rodeos and events throughout, competitive pay, and endless amounts of memories to be made along the journey!

As a Traveling Sales Associate for Alan's Lids, you can expect to be on-the-go majority of the time, but at-home time can be arranged when needed. During this at-home time, you may work at our brick-and-mortar location in Crowley, TX.

What you must bring:

• Be 18 years or older
• be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Able to travel 70-90% of the time
• Be open to traveling by vehicle and by plane if needed
• Be within driving distance to the Crowley, TX location store to work on home days
• Be open to learning to shape hats
• Have a valid driver's license and good driving record is a plus
• Have a friendly and outgoing personality
• Have excellent verbal skills
• Have 1+ years as sales associate or have retail store experience 
• Be Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a bonus but not required!
• Able to problem solve as issues arise
• Able to lift/carry 30+ lbs

Responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise and setup to and from the mobile unit
• Assist in setting up and tearing down event/booth setups
• Welcomes customers by greeting them and offering them assistance.
• Directs customers by escorting them to our products.
• Advises customers by providing information on products.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.
• Use good judgment and creative problem solving to solve customer problems/complaints
• Maintains scheduling commitments
